SOURCE: REAL NEWS – Several building break-ins and thefts are currently under investigation, including one at the Central Board of Health (CBH).
However, it appears that nothing was stolen from the government agency. The acting supervisor at the CBH building reported the break-in to the police, which occurred on June 5 at Joseph Lane around 5:20 a.m.
During routine checks, a security guard discovered that a northern office window had been forcefully opened and broken.
In another incident, an All Saints businesswoman contacted the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) to report a burglary at her cook shop on Old Parham Road.
It is alleged that the intruders entered through an eastern push-up window by breaking the glass, unlocking the window, and prying open the inner burglar bars.
They stole various items, including cases of Dutch Lady milk, Vienna sausages, tuna fish, non-alcoholic beverages, as well as quantities of rice, flour, and beans.
Additionally, the owner and manager of Delightful Restaurant, also located on Old Parham Road, informed the CID that items had been stolen from his container.
These thefts had occurred multiple times over a two-week period, with the most recent incident happening on June 4.
The businessman had been arriving at work to discover that the locks on the container had been removed and food items were missing.
On June 4, around 3 p.m., when the owner checked the containers, he found that six padlocks had been removed and all the doors were left open.
A significant amount of cooking oil, rice, seasonings, and other food items had been stolen.
The three 40-foot containers from which the food was taken are situated north of the restaurant.
