GIS ANTIGUA BARBUDA: Five New Fire Appliances Arrive to Strengthen Fire Department Fleet

Five newly acquired fire appliances have arrived in Antigua, marking a significant step in enhancing the capabilities of the Antigua and Barbuda Fire Department.

The vehicles are part of a larger purchase of seven fire appliances by the government, representing an investment of nearly $8 million.

Prime Minister Gaston Browne highlighted the importance of this initiative during his 2025 Budget Address, stating, “This investment underscores our dedication to safeguarding lives and property in Antigua and Barbuda. These resources will significantly enhance the capacity of our fire and rescue services to respond effectively to emergencies.”

Further details on the specific types and functions of the new appliances are expected to be released in the coming week.
