An estimated 18,000 cruise passengers poured into St. John’s in a single day as five major vessels docked simultaneously at Antigua Cruise Port, generating a wave of activity across the capital and beyond.
The Grand Princess, Norwegian Epic, Britannia, Explora I and Celebrity Eclipse lined the harbour, reinforcing Antigua and Barbuda’s reputation as a leading Caribbean cruise destination.
Visitors spread out to hotspots such as Dickenson Bay, Valley Church and Nelson’s Dockyard, providing a strong boost for taxi operators, tour guides, retailers and beach vendors. Tourism stakeholders said the influx delivered meaningful economic support to small and medium-sized businesses.
The high passenger volume signals continued momentum in the cruise sector, with Antigua Cruise Port drawing some of the industry’s most prominent ships as the destination sustains its growth trajectory.

Yep, keep bragging about how many thousands off tourist coming to our shores, but when it’s time to pay workers, we can’t find any money.. 😂
How backwards can we get?
I love millions of tourist coming to our shores, love it, but where is all the tax revenue from these visits with these high high duties and VAT taxes?
But hey, don’t shoot the messenger. Just asking for a good friend who lives in Antigua.. 😂
Seeing five cruise ships dock at once is incredible. I can only imagine how busy the island must have been locals hustling, vendors selling, taxis running non-stop. This is exactly the kind of tourism boost our small businesses desperately need.
Seeing the Grand Princess, Norwegian Epic, Britannia, Explora I, and Celebrity Eclipse all dock together must have been surreal. This shows that Antigua is still a top Caribbean cruise destination.
I hope they spend money
why won’t they? we have so much to offer
Please clean up the St John’s Cathedral. It’s a beautiful church that draws immense interest from our visitors. We can do better.
