The doctoral degree recipients will be identified in a separate release.

“Caribbean students made history at WIU this cycle,” said WIU President Kristi Mindrup. “The region was well represented at all degree levels and with notable individual achievements. Students from Antigua and Barbuda and the rest of the Caribbean have demonstrated success in and out of the classroom, and have made a positive impact on the university community.”

WIU will join several other universities in a consortium visiting Antigua on June 6.

  1. Special congrats to Dominic Christopher. Hopefully he will going to take a doctorate in machine learning engineering.
The Caribbean needs cutting edge technologist to get beyond mediocraty and Mr. Christopher seems to have the foods.

  2. Congrats to the students!

In contrast to some young students who have spent years away doing their studies and now cannot a get a job in the field of their study, Let’s hope that these students will now earn them a job when they return back home.

Granting government scholarships to students & then have no room at the table for them to nyam is inspid, ludicrous and down right wicked for a govt.

  3. There is hope for us yet in the Caribbean. We are not all Neanderthals as our comments might lead one to conclude!
    Congratulations!
