First Burial at Tranquility Park Cemetery Scheduled for today

10

Tranquility Park Cemetery will host its first burial today, offering long-awaited relief to families amid the island’s shortage of burial space.

The Ministry of Health confirmed the interment follows a funeral service that began at 2:00 p.m., with the exact timing dependent on the service’s duration.

Commissioned on July 17, the new cemetery was developed in response to the capacity crisis at St. John’s Public Cemetery and other community sites, which had reached full capacity. Its opening marks a significant step in ensuring continued access to burial services across the island.

  1. Hope it’s not Faithful National #1, still want to read his one-sided comments, he’ll soon recognize the damage he’s causing and change his destructive ways

  2. I hope this is part of a long-term plan. We need to make sure future generations won’t face the same burial space crisis.

  3. This is certainly nothing to celebrate since families are in mourning but I’m happy that the dead not have a dignified resting place

  4. @Fairhful National #2
Can you hear yourself? Who the hell are you, anyway?? Some kind of tick looking to suck blood for your survival??? Can’t even come up with a title of your own. Stay in your lane, child!!

  5. I would advise Faithful National #1 to add the prefix “un” in front of Faithful that would be more fitting
