Congrats my friend 👏 looking forward to see more from you.
To this day, you remain one of our best accountants and an incredible all-rounder. Keep shining, Pollyana with love from Kerri and Bradley Boateng.
It is always a pleasure to see one of your students shine. I’m extremely proud of you, Paula, as you’re always pushing boundaries. As I mentioned during our last telephone call, your next step is not a maybe, it’s a resounding Yes!!
@Brixtonian why are you such a HATER!!!!! My gosh could you not congratulate the young lady?? In case your hating puss didn’t know Summa Cum Laude means she graduated top of her class with the highest degree. You are such an a-hole not wonder the only thing you can go is browse on here 24/7 gushing over Gaston Adolf Hitler mustache Bronwe like the loser you are!!!!
Congratulations! But you trouble just begun, to go away and come back in this cultural milleau of Antigua under these dinosaur supervisors is a headache, they shall stamp their authority and make certain nothing you know is implemented, you may leave that job with all your expertise as I had to do in APUA, you are clearly out of the league of these guys, and it’s a patriarchal society, so as a woman it’s an uphill battle.
The new tools and material for work you will suggest will never materialize, the political system and colonial function of historical stock takings for your department have not change from since independence just as in APUA and other government department, the stores order function photographically, I had begged and wish for modern material that is less costly and more ergonomic for APUA but to no avail, but I must say before I leaved the APUA there was an engineer brought in during UPP administration that finally ordered some of what I suggested, and it’s there today functioning ergonomically for the linesman.
This lady is going to need a lot of support from government to implement her theoretical knowledge in order to impart ideas to her colleagues.
Sorry if I make the comparison of myself in APUA, because I went away for a live line certification to mitigate against power outages, and instead was made to suffer by my superiors, some who never had any real experience in my field of work but was entitlement because of friendship at the top, it retards the forward progress APUA would seen today.
This lady here please, I beg the government to ad the budget to the fire department and a good board or body that will listen to things she will suggest in purchasing to modernize the fire services. While I was working in the virgin islands an electrician with a company that help to wire a new fire station, it had a paramedics quarter and conference center and gas station and other modern amenities to meet the changing world, having a conference center is conducive to lectures locally and regionally and internationally for the betterment of the fire services.
Champion on young lady you may become the future chief, sometimes I wondered if my former superiors had the nightmare of me becoming up in ranks and change the system and they become obsolete, I hope your present bosses don’t feel that way.
@Hazel Roberts You really hit the nail on the head there. I remember a couple of years ago, I watched a news broadcast where she was debating, and in the end, she won both best speaker and best overall speaker so I said to someone at the time, this young lady is going places, and I wasn’t surprised that my words didn’t fall short. She truly deserves the government’s support indeed, because without it, like so many other qualified individuals, she could easily be pushed into a corner. As for your experience within APUA, I can only imagine the challenges she and many others will face as well. Congrats young Lady 👏
