Fire officials are probing the cause of a blaze that destroyed a wooden house in Potters on Sunday morning.

According to reports, personnel from the St John’s Fire Station were called to the scene shortly after 9:20 a.m. on 14 September. Firefighters used water to bring the flames under control, but the 12×14-foot wooden structure was already consumed.

The one-bedroom house, which also contained a kitchen and living room, was not connected to electricity at the time of the incident, officials confirmed.

All of the dwelling’s contents were lost, but no injuries were reported.

The Fire Department has since launched an investigation into the origin of the blaze.
