Jackiem Gordon, a fifteen-year-old boy, was stabbed multiple times late Friday night and has since undergone surgery, with expectations for a full recovery.
He is currently receiving treatment for serious stab wounds at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Center.
The Golden Grove teenager was urgently taken to the hospital after sustaining injuries to his waist.
Reports indicate that he was attacked by another young man wielding scissors during a confrontation at Cashew Hill, where several young men had gathered at a well-known location in the community.

Do we have two separate incidents being reported on here? The italicized portion seems to speaking about an altercation having taken place in All Saints in which a 19 year old was stabbed.
The main body story is speaking of a 15 year old who was stabbed with a scissors during an altercation in Cashew Hill.
The names of the two victims are also different.
It is way past time that conflict resolution be made a part of upbringing. From home to church (those who attend church) to school.
Children from a very young age learn what they see. So, adults need to create that environment around their children in which when conflict arises it is resolved amicably and does not flare up into confrontation.
Learn how to walk away from conflict so that teaches your children to do same. Learn how to agree to disagree.
I pray both victims overcome their wounds and the persons who inflicted those wounds are brought to correct justice.
Well known location? Police is pure weed and crack them sell there
What is happening with young people here? you should investigate why that happened.
Alot of anger plus a high disregard for human life and living are some of the things affecting our young men. Of course the fact that they see no hope in the foreseeable just adds more flame to the fire
At least we know you guys arent using AI. You missed the “Y” in the world “Recovery”.
Where are the parent ?
I think you mean where are the fathers!!!!
Hope he makes a full recovery
Will anyone be charged for the incident ?
Hope he changes his ways and turn to God
Being tuff is the new thing u don’t have to destroy each other to solve a conflicts..the youth them programing is vicious now remember in order to keep us blacks weak below they have to keep us fighting each other we have too much hate among our own people and it’s a world wide thing ..blacks violence is promoted in movies ,in our music and on the net so it got the youths them programing…we have common sense to know this happening world wide only our race black on black violence is promoted and the worship of the almighty $
Seem as if you people come here for trouble. I come for the comments. Thanks for the entertainment. Get well soon youngster.
We are yet to hear if the attacker was arrested. I hope a speedy recovery for this young man and please leave the hospital highlighting some peace. Don’t go for revenge
Right now I wouldn’t encourage anyone to bring a child into this wicked wicked world
Clearly you have a reading problem. A “Y” isn’t missing. The word is suppose to be ‘Recover’ and not ‘Recovery’.
Same thing every week. A stabbing here, a fight there, and then we move on like nothing happened. Watch how fast this story disappears until the next teenager ends up in hospital.
Where are the parents? Why are these boys on the streets late at night unsupervised? and what about the curfew? The curfew the governmtn said they would make for underage teens
Are we just gonna plant them at the center and let it be? A young man life in danger and I haven’t hear of any arrest… talk to me here guys
This could’ve ended so much worse. These young boys need guidance and conflict resolution, not weapons. Our communities need to come together. Too many of our youth are turning to violence way too easily.
Why are teenagers carrying weapons? What’s going on in the homes and schools?
Wishing Jackiem strength and healing. Hope he comes back stronger and uses his voice to help others instead of promoting violence. Close calls like these are suppose to help people do better not worse. Not coming out the hospital seeking revenge
As someone living right here in Cashew Hill, this hit way too close to home. We know these boys, they’re our sons, nephews, neighbours. And while people on the outside are quick to judge, the truth is, we’ve been asking for support for years. We need real investment in our youth not just when something bad happens, but consistently. I’m praying for Jackiem and his family, but I’m also praying this wakes up those in charge. We’re tired of the violence, tired of the silence, and tired of being forgotten.
Nothing is happening. These music they calling dancehall and that shii is what have these kids like this. They are trying to do everything these song say.
