Festivals Minister Hails Khan Cordice as Exodus Claims Back-to-Back Panorama Title

Festivals Minister Daryll Matthew has praised Antiguan arranger Khan Cordice following Republic Bank Exodus Steel Orchestra’s victory at the Trinidad and Tobago National Panorama 2026 Large Conventional Band Finals.

PanTrinbago confirmed that Republic Bank Exodus captured this year’s title, marking the band’s second consecutive win in the prestigious competition after also triumphing in 2025.

In a Facebook post, Matthew congratulated Cordice and the orchestra on what he described as an exceptional performance on the Panorama stage.

“Khan continues to demonstrate an extraordinary level of musical excellence, and his work as an arranger and drill master on the Panorama stage is yet another reminder of the depth of talent we possess here in Antigua and Barbuda,” Matthew wrote.

He noted that contributing at such a high level within one of the most competitive and respected steel pan arenas in the world is a significant achievement.

“To be able to contribute at that level, within one of the most competitive and respected steel pan arenas in the world, is truly commendable,” he added, praising Cordice’s dedication, discipline and commitment to the art form.

PanTrinbago also extended congratulations to all participating bands “for their commitment to keeping the legacy of the steelpan alive.”

“Every performance showcased the power of unity, culture and national pride,” the organisation said in a statement on its official social media pages.

“The journey of Panorama continues to inspire communities, uplift our youth, and celebrate our National Musical Instrument,” PanTrinbago added.

The Large Conventional Band Finals were held at the Queen’s Park Savannah in Port of Spain on Saturday, where Republic Bank Exodus secured the championship title for a second straight year.

Matthew ended his message by stating: “Well done, Khan. Antigua and Barbuda celebrates you.”

  1. Congratulations to the number one Drill master in TnT, and his XO family. Khan Cordice is our number one arranger here in Wadadli, arranging for our largest band, year after year, this man then heads to TnT and drill their largest band to back to back championship, now that’s some wicked talent. A talent, which in my book is being overlooked by a number of people in this same family. Terrance BJ Marcelle, arranged both Exodus and Arima Angels Harp, plus Metronomes steel orchestra in the UK, now I want to believe he knows the background of Khan, and witnessed how musically talented he is, so how about putting the “Onika, All is mine” aside, and give the man another chance as arranger for Arima Angels Harp in the medium category, and Khan if given this opportunity please make it work this time, by giving it your all, no holding back, they can handle anything you throw at them. Congratulations once again to the Wadadli man.
