Feng Fined $3,500 for Damaging XPZ Property; Must Pay by November 21

Tianzhao ‘Alex’ Feng, who was previously imprisoned for burning down the XPZ supermarket, has been fined $3,500 for maliciously damaging the same company’s property. Feng, who claimed ignorance of a stay-away order, argued that Antigua is a free country where he can go wherever he wants.

Feng damaged XPZ property in August and appeared in court without legal representation. Magistrate Dane Hamilton Jr., with the aid of Chinese interpreter Norm Christopher, fined him $500 for the damage and ordered $3,000 in compensation. Feng must pay the amount by November 21 or face possible imprisonment.

XPZ owner Zhang Xiao Ping criticized the ruling, advocating for Feng’s imprisonment and deportation. The magistrate instructed Feng to avoid XPZ property and report any harassment to the police.

  1. After this latest infraction resulting in a fine, what’s next for Alex? Will he be given some psychiatric evaluation in order to ascertain his mental capacity and given treatment this time around. I hope we do not see a repeat of his actions because we might just be putting a plaster on a wound that is serious and in need of greater care and attention.
