Florida Caribbean Cruise Association in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and the Rotary Club of Antigua spread Holiday Cheer with Gift-Giving Initiative.

(St. John’s Antigua; December 06, 2024), The Florida Caribbean Cruise Association (FCCA), in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Antigua and the Ministry of Tourism and Investment, hosted a heartwarming gift-giving event today (Friday) for over 100 children from various schools across Antigua and Barbuda. The event was made even more special with the presence of crew members from Norwegian Cruise Line, a member of the FCCA who joined local stakeholders in spreading holiday cheer.

The event, held at the Rotary House was a celebration of community, generosity, and the spirit of giving. Each child received carefully selected gifts, symbolizing the collaborative effort between the FCCA, Rotary Club of Antigua, and the Ministry of Tourism to make the holiday season brighter for the nation’s youth.

For over 20 years, the FCCA has been bringing holiday joy to the children of Antigua and Barbuda through this annual gift-giving initiative. This tradition is part of the FCCA’s Holiday Gift Project, which aims to spread cheer and create meaningful connections in destinations across the Caribbean.

Minister of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Transportation, and Investment, the Honourable Charles Fernandez, expressed gratitude for the partnership, stating, “This initiative exemplifies the power of collaboration in bringing joy to our communities. We are deeply thankful to the FCCA and the Rotary Club of Antigua for their dedication to making a meaningful impact on the lives of our children. Such moments reflect the essence of what we aim to achieve through tourism; shared experiences and meaningful connections.”

President of the Rotary Club of Antigua, Ms. Sherrie-Ann Brazier, highlighted the significance of the event, saying, “Our club is committed to serving our community, and this partnership with the FCCA and the Ministry of Tourism is a shining example of what we can achieve together. It’s a privilege to be part of an initiative that brings so much joy and hope to the children of Antigua and Barbuda.”

Santa made an extra special appearance during the exercise and sweet treats and the bouncing castle were provided to add brighter smiles to the faces of the children!
