Royal Gardens Home Invasion Reported in Social Media Post

A home invasion involving an armed assault has been reported in the Royal Gardens area, bordering Hodges Bay and Cedar Grove, according to a post circulating on social media.

The incident is said to have occurred around 7:00pm, when a family had just sat down to dinner. The post claims that three masked young men, believed to be between 15 and 17 years old, forced their way into the home and attacked the father, allegedly striking him with a firearm.

The victims were reportedly tied up and robbed of several personal items before the suspects fled the scene on foot. It was further claimed that police responded quickly to the incident.

At the time of writing, there has been no official confirmation from the police regarding the details of the report, including the age of the suspects or the extent of the injuries sustained.

The post has sparked concern among residents, with comparisons drawn to a series of home invasions that occurred around 2014. The author of the post warned that successful robberies can sometimes lead to copycat crimes.

Police have not yet issued a public statement, and investigations are understood to be ongoing. Members of the public are being urged to remain vigilant and to report any suspicious activity to the authorities.

  1. This is getting totally ridiculous now.

You are telling me that a family are settling down in their homes, and this brazen robbery takes place? It seems like inmates have taken over the asylum.

Gaston Browne needs to reassure the nation as to how to deal with these crimes before citizens fight back with equal force.

WHY THE ONGOING SILENCE PRIME MINISTER?

You’ve reached out to the criminal fraternity and they are ignoring you. In your next move against them, there must be no more pussy-footing.

They don’t care for people life or limb…

  2. Commissioner good day!!! This is waaaaay out a hand now Sir. If you need resources please let the AG and the PM know. I know you love the word of God and wish that no one should perish but that all should come to repentance. BUT, no one comes unless the spirit first draws them. Nuff a dem get drawn but nah listen.. Some of these tekkers need to be put down!!!

  3. Royal Gardens??? Hmmmmm that is where TREVOR WALKER LIVES YET HE BADMIMDED SELF KEEPS BARBUDANS IN A CHOKEHOLD. He has house and land in Antigua, but wants to block Antiguans from owning land in the CONSTITUENCY of Barbuda

  4. This is very worrying. They even broke into my house to rob me. I left my house at 12 in the afternoon. And they came in, they were trying to kick me out, and thank God I got out, otherwise they would have killed me. Personally, I think they should kill him because they only come in for two things: to kill or to kill him. And these are two robberies that have been committed against me, one in December 23rd and the other on January 5th, 26th.

  5. @Hypocrisy!! You idiot fuck hole. The island is in a crisis with home invasions, gun robberies all over the place and here you idiotic fuck hole is concerned about who lives where. They should rob your idiot ass and fuck you with a 2” wide times 1” metal pipe up your idiotic ass and goddamn mouth.
These street thugs know who to fuck with. They should be strung up by their fucking balls on a cassi tree and sprayed with sugar water alive for ants to feed on.

  6. @Tenman they are not “kids.” They are ARMED ROBBERS committing serious felonies. Stop with the “kids” nonsense. These are premeditated ARMED ROBBERIES and must be dealt with severely. They are one move away from committing murder.
Antigua, Barbuda and REDONDA is but a hick town in terms of population in Canada, America, the UK or any EU State. Major sporting events in these jurisdictions move the whole population of Antigua, Barbuda & REFONDA in and out of arenas within an 8 hour period.
Stop and think whether or not authorities in these municipalities would allow this type of behavior(s) to disrupt their communities on a regular basis. Hell no!
This is no laughing nor joking matter. They must be tried, convicted and sentenced. Law enforcement must take a page out of Singapore and Sharia laws.
Their parents or guardians MUST pay in some way as well. Either restitution or Community service to run concurrent and the same length as their convicted ARMED ROBBERS, if they are not yet adults.

    Tek warning!
To be forewarned is to be forearmed!
Many of us with indepth knowledge regarding the consequences of sit back and do nothing but laugh, claiming they’re just kids predicted these criminal trends, now trending in Antigua.

And, please do yourself a favor, don’t go to no META or Google search and post some stats from other jurisdictions to compare Antigua favorably to. It’s useless.

  7. We are walking through the valley of the shadow of Death in Antigua.
That is just the way it is in GANGSTERS PARADISE.
When you ask the criminals the get rid of their HOT GUNS that is just like giving these vermin a license to continue their activity

  8. The @Tinman is as senile as a lunatic.

A bunch of punks running this country.
They are afraid of a few idiots causing serious reputation problems to Antigua.

I live in a county ( yes in the states) where I forget my garage door open sometimes, and not as much as a dry leaf is missing the next day.

That’s how we use to live in the islands.
Are you now telling me that my county here in the big bad America is safer than Antigua to live?

This is just outrageous just to even imagine.

This Administration has lost Antigua a long time ago .they are barely hanging on, but they won’t admit it.
Y’all better grow a spine, because these criminals know y’all are punks.

I said way back, when y’all gave that 15 year old who killed the Syrian 3 years, that it will come back to bite Antigua, and now here we are.

    Dumb dumb dumb.

  9. And if they put a bullet in the some wilfull people will come out and cry that they shouldn’t have killed them. They should have just called the police. Nonsense.
How can you just go in on people like that like is your place

  10. So it seems that the family may know them.
My question is didn’t they ensure their doors were locked? Regardless it is sad when people can’t even have a quiet dinner in the early evening without being attacked

  11. This is frightening. Royal Gardens used to be quiet. If this can happen there at 7pm, nowhere feels safe. Lord help Antigua.

  12. I feel sick reading this. Angry that it happened, scared it could happen to anyone, and sad for that family who will never forget this night.

  13. It’s scary that the suspects are reportedly teenagers. Part of me feels anger because of what they did, and another part feels sadness because kids shouldn’t be living this kind of life. Something is broken

  14. The government should get solar powered streetlight with camera combination out of china to replace all existing streetlights system and help the police and government solve crimes or prevent it.

  15. The ages of these perps are just frightening. I hope they know that if they live by the sword they will also die by it.
