Are you a parent at all? Are all children turned out to be what they where taught to do and be in the home? To clear up any ambiguity, this young man developed a mental issue years ago. His father tried really hard to get help for him.

We can all agree that you can take a donkey to the pond but u can’t make it drink.

He had a home but rather be on the streets.

If parents are not able to help and the Government has nothing in place to assist with these young men and women in the streets, then these are the kind of news we will continue to wake up too.

Hey i knew this guy well and his family loved him very much. You all dont know him so dont make assumptions. Adults live how they want and parents cant stop them. I myself used to assist him when he is in his good days but when he is in his bad days its another story. Only the government could help him but the government only wants to know how you died not how you are living. To me the public and the government only becomes interested when you die not while your alive. The parents did all they could for this young man.

This guy had a family all a while? so why most of the times he’s on the road at the KFC Fort Road are? why we only cry when reality his? This means his whole family is in this position? or they didn’t care while he was alive? Its crazy to me.

I always see him by KFC. They said he has mental issues but I believe it is the herb that has got these young men so messed up. Yet we see big movement to make herb easier to access and smoke

I don’t know this young man or his story, but I know of many stories of him that are alive. Many young man that develop mental health as they go through puberty and the ignorance of us Antigua do not like to have our children assess especially for any mental health disabilities or conditions. We continue to feed them the garbage food because that is what we can afford and as they get older the condition worsens we see the small changes and make excuses. They are now adults, and you cannot take them to doctors because you cannot control them. In some cases, you are even fearful of them. You seek help from the government but system says that the court have to order them to the mental institution and to get that they have to commit an offense. For the family I understand your plight and I feel your pain at least even when he was on the street you could still see him. But take solace that he is no more pain because for the few moments when he is good and can understand the pain he is causing hurt him too but the madness always return to steal it.
