Two Antiguan families have expressed heartfelt gratitude to the staff of the St. John Hospice for the compassionate and professional care provided to their loved ones during their final days.

Yvette R. L. Edwards, sister of the late Albert William Sidney Henry, commended the hospice team for their dedication and empathy as they cared for her brother, who passed away peacefully on September 6, 2025.

“The St. John Hospice staff took such excellent and professional care of Albert, and as we looked around and observed, they did the very same to other patients in their care,” she wrote. “May God continue to strengthen your efforts and do not grow weary doing good to persons who need you the most, the terminally ill.”

Another letter, dated November 1, 2025, came from D. Gisele Isaac, who was involved in the hospice’s establishment through the Professional Organization of Women in Antigua and Barbuda. She noted that her family has twice benefited from the hospice’s services.

“We found the management and staff to be welcoming, reassuring and sensitive at a time of great emotional and physical strain,” Isaac said. “We were extremely comfortable putting our loved ones in the care of empathetic and capable staff—some of whom remain friends.”

Both letters praised the hospice’s role in providing a vital service for terminally ill patients and their families, offering comfort, dignity, and peace during life’s most difficult moments.
