So why didn’t they notify anyone? I was at the bank at the airport and the building was shaking (lawd terrorism reach Antigua). People were running out the bank. As I was fleeing for home, the Cricket board people were also running out in the parking lot. People were saying it was a crash as fire trucks were heading up towards the airport. Had to run leave my transaction for stupidness!

Why even attempt what is supposed to be a controlled explosion. The thing is small enough to use a pneumatic breaker on an excavator. Ideally you would use the long one, used for cleaning ditches and ponds, and bring it down one level at a time.

This is real stupidity that needs to be dealt with by the DCA with the full force of the law. I mean even if we want to move a tree we have to seek permission from the DCA. And to take down such a valuable building that has cost in the tens of millions to construct. Tourists used to call it the Antiguan Tower of PISA. Although is didn’t lean. It’s architectural design was solid and fit perfectly in the surrounding structure. When you climb to the top of the tower you have such a wonderful view of the entire airport lands all the way to Jumby Bay. That was part of Stanford Dog and Pony Show to show investors his development projects to come. To include the Barnicle Point Development and the Run Way 10 Hangars, with Maiden Island, now knows as The Hut. Little Jumby. I wonder what shortsighted developer would want to demolish this structure. Give him a very heavy fine and jail time as well
