13

Antigua and Barbuda—Former Agriculture Minister Hilson Baptiste, a notable figure from the United Progressive Party (UPP), is now grappling with a severe stroke, according to party officials.

Hospitized at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Center, Baptiste faces Aphasia, impeding his ability to communicate.

His tenure included roles as MP for St. Marty’s South and Minister of Housing, Culture & Social Transformation under the UPP administration.

Our heartfelt wishes go to Mr. Baptiste for a prompt and full recovery during this period of difficulty.

  1. Praying for a fulsome recovery for Mr Hilson Baptist
who in the past has served his country and constituents well (especially those in St Mary’s South).

I also recall his endeavours and investigations into the lack of vital pharmaceutical drugs coming into Antigua & Barbuda’s health sector.

A top top politician who looked out for the welfare of ALL Antiguans, whatever your political colours or persuasions.

Praying for a miracle sir; and that all the medication that you fought for us, is now available for you … 🙏🏽

  4. Everyone is exposed to illness. Whether we like him or not, it is our responsibility to empathize and sympathize. Hilson Baptiste has been a popular figure in Antigua and Barbuda. He offered his service as a legislator and Minister of the UPP government. I wish him a speedy recovery. Lord, May your mercy be granted.
