  1. We need a proactive police for and leader, not a reactive one..this is just becoming sickening for such a damn small island.

@Brix told me the other day to have hope, but it’s a damn shame what our island has fallen to. Antigua rotten to the core with fringe economy that’s quizzing the life out of its residents.

“Without vision, the people perish” This verse was referring to leaders people, and Antigua leaders lack vision in the worse way..

Sad Sad Sad. “Faith without action is dead”. We need to take action if this foolish government won’t do it. I guess they only have strength for the opposition billboards to rip them down.

Go get the real criminals out there reeking havoc Gatson. Do your damn job for once.

  2. Don’t leave out the Antiguans. They like to live beyond their means just to be in style & fashion…..

    • thank you very much ab then wen you look at them they hungry nf an dem kids going to school not even a snack in deh bag plus old shoes on Dem kids foot
while they dress down an kids looking crappy nf

      • A lot of judgemental and crude people writing comments. No wonder kids have no behavior these days. Better to be poor with dignity than rich and classless

  3. Praying 🙏 is not going to save us .God want us to move , get up off our knees and do something…This old saying of take it to the lord in prayer is out ..Did it work during the 400 years of slavery as we.were brutalized by the oppressors? Take note that the Haitians are the “only inslaved black people ” who freed themselves..

Antigua law enforcement needs better leadership from the AG to the chief of police ..My country going down a steep slope with this every day crime ! Yall keep just Praying 🙏 and wait till the cruise ships stop coming and the hotel rooms are empty to wake up and smell.the coffee. The criminal element are spreading like wild fire 🔥 as one said ( Antigua so easy it’s like taking 🍬 candy from a baby 👶 you can break into a house and be atleast 90% sure you will not be deterred by the homeowners having a firearm)

    • Prayer has worked miracles for me. As a matter of fact, I recently started praying a little about the crime situation and all of a sudden, criminals started getting caught. Praise be to God. However, as a pastor once noted when we pray we need to step out in faith. When Jesus healed people, he always asked them to do something e.g. stand up, go and wash etc. When we act in faith then we see the miracles more. So, we do need to act as well.
Also, the reason the country is getting worse now is the lack of prayer and the lack of Christianity in general. Christian practice has declined; so naturally people are now behaving more brutishly to one another, and youth have poor role models to follow so there are more of them going bad these days.
Additionally, Antigua does not have a lot of security in our society because we didn’t need it in the past. When people were more Christian, we didn’t have to worry as much about criminals. Securing everything costs a lot of money. Much cheaper to simply teach and help people to live in peace.
So, better to not only keep prayer, but also return to full Christian practice. When badness is on the rise, that’s not a good time to encourage people to stop following good values. That just makes things get worse faster.
As for the slaves, we have no idea what they were doing. We tend to assume that they were all wonderful people, but what if some were not? Some were prisoners of other African tribes before they were sold. We don’t know what they did or didn’t do before or while they were enslaved. No one deserves to be enslaved, but it’s best not to jump to conclusions about the past. We cannot possibly know whose prayers were answered and whose were not during that time. Many didn’t make it. Perhaps the ones who made it through were the ones who prayed.
Finally, a lot of us don’t pray for the country, moreso for ourselves and our own families. So, we can’t say it doesn’t work if we haven’t actually been doing it. So, perhaps we really should begin to pray earnestly for the society.
      Start praying. Keep praying.

  4. Put tracking devices on your inventory in store. When they are sold remove them then.If anyone stole your goods you could track it and have that person arrested. Stealing food to eat is one thing.Stealing fake hair and the like should result in 10 lashes and Prison time.

  5. It’s a damn shame that black on black Racism is running so deep in this country.
Some of the posts on here are truly disgusting…the store owners and their staff now have no income…they have families to feed this week…and the first comments from some of your addled brains is to spew your racist crap here? Where is the outrage against all this crime?…and the colonial police system?
This may be an inside job, or maybe by certain customers who saw a weak spot in the store and saw an opportunity over the holiday weekend to enrich themselves…carnival coming right?…make easy money right?…nobody get killed right? However, those workers are suffering today! This island is too small for the black community not to know who’s selling these products cheap. They cannot hide unless you are helping them to do so. The problem is the dunder-head police. They will do nothing…period the end.
Hopefully, the owners of this establishment have the right insurance coverage, and will get the products in back in and be up and running in no time. They will need to install a top of the line security system and cameras. God bless.

    • @asking…sure there are accomplices!…distributing within small communities…and many of those who buy the stolen merchandise will know exactly where it came from.
If someone down de road suddenly always selling ‘stuff’ at great prices…do you buy two?…or do you become suspicious and say something? If the dumb-ass-bribe-taking police were efficient, and had their greasy wax-filled ears to the ground, they would know exactly where the stolen goods are today! But nope…they protecting the criminals…probably getting wigs and braids for their side-chicks!
Once again I am blown away today by another senseless robbery that enriches the pockets of criminals!
