The EU updated its tax jurisdiction blacklist, keeping Antigua and Barbuda among 12 non-cooperative jurisdictions.

Four, including the Bahamas and Turks and Caicos, were removed due to improved tax cooperation.

The EU Council evaluates compliance with tax transparency and fairness standards, issuing the list every six months.

While inclusion doesn’t trigger economic sanctions, it restricts European funds and may prompt additional audits.

The Bahamas and Turks and Caicos were removed based on relaxed OECD recommendations, but Belize and Seychelles were added due to insufficient tax information exchange standards.

Both countries have made changes and will undergo new OECD reviews. The EU plans to update the list again in December.

  1. What I have loved about St.Kitts over the years, is that regardless of where they are put on any European list, they still maintain their policies as long as there is a net benefit to its people.
Europe can barely help itself, it is actually looking to China to bail it out.
To hell with them and their toilet paper list, they do not make a difference, either way, to the life ordinary people.

  2. It only take a fool like you to say things like that. If you were in their positions will you do better. Please stop the negativity about your country and try make a meaningful contribution to it.

  3. When people cannot control you the way they want, you become blacklisted for everything. These giants of the world want to hold everybody accountable and they can’t even control themselves. Hab so really nah lub so.

  4. We still continue to celebrate the abolition of Slavery while remaining subservient to these Europeans. If you don’t comply with their tax policies they blacklist you. I think it is an honor to be blacklisted by these decendants of slavers.

  5. Spot on with this write-up, I actually feel this web site needs a great deal more attention. I’ll probably be returning to read more, thanks for the advice!
