Erna-Mae Seeks to Explain the Absence of MP Simon From Photo Caption

ABS TV CH10
CLARIFICATION:

ABS’ earlier post regarding the ground-breaking event for the Nikki Beach Resort on Thursday outlined some of the officials present at the ceremony. It did not intend to identify all the officials in the photograph accompanying the story; the photograph was not captioned.

Some readers have since misconstrued the absence of references to the Governor General’s Deputy, Sir Clare Roberts, and Member of Parliament for St Mary’s South, Hon. Kelvin Simon in the original story, as tendentious.

There were no such malign motives. ABS regrets any such implications and apologizes to both gentlemen.

  1. Erna-Mae ah better u min kip quiet cause that is a lame excuse. This excuse makes the actions of ABS seem even more deliberate. Had u ignore this it would have been forgotten by tomorrow 🙄 now here u gone give the residents of ANR more reasons to drag ABLP #THINKFIRST

  2. In the spirit of political parity, we need to ensure that there is equal representation and participation of the different groups within the political system. Although it may be an oversight, these kinds of errors need to be avoided in a very politically charged society. It undermines the very fabric of democracy and free press, and by extension, the greater good. Whenever you peruse these ANR comment section, there is a slew of commentators posting negative, divisve, and unproductive comments that does nothing to uplift, but rather to further complicate the issues. We all need to do better.

  3. We say nine days talk then it’s all forgotten but DEAD Red outlined that it’s as soon as tomorrow and it’s evident in the way the government looks after our affairs.

  4. You would think her ex-husband, Lionel Hurst, would have some pull with ANR to get that pic out of circulation. They use that evertime they refer to her.
She is ALP all the way. Definitely not a flattering picture. I don’t understand why she hasn’t taken steps to stop them from deframing her character.

  5. @Jes Fine, I agree that the photo of the GM of the new station is unflattering and in poor taste.
However, having an unflattering photo of yourself being used is not grounds for legal action. The court system is not a sweetie shop that can waste taxpayers money everytime an actual unaltered photo of your likeness is used and hurts your feelings.

A suggestion would be for her to send a professional headshot of herself to ANR to replace the one being used.

Let us provide helpful solutions rather than add to the issues. Let us change the attitudes within this country little by little.

  6. I thought that I heard several times that the UPP is not about photo-ops. What has since changed? They hatefully complained that the Cabinet ministers only live for photo-ops. Are they now wanting to be a part of that group. Stupid people! Auntie Erna-Mae, no explanation was needed. They don’t support any development.

  7. You have relegated yourself to a mole with your frivolous statement. I think you’d be ashamed if you re-read your post but the good thing is; you can’t erase it.
