The Environment Awareness Group (EAG) is offering an exciting opportunity for Antiguans and Barbudans in the upcoming year to witness the transformed beauty of Redonda.
The newly established Redonda Ecosystem Reserve, spanning nearly 30,000 hectares of land and sea, includes the entire island, adjacent seagrass meadows, and a vast 180 km2 coral reef.
Following a successful restoration program initiated in 2016, Redonda has evolved from a desolate ‘dusty moonscape’ into a thriving biodiversity sanctuary.
The EAG’s Executive Director envisions small-scale tours, inviting those who have never experienced Redonda to explore and share their impressions.
The non-profit organization’s restoration efforts have earned acclaim locally and internationally.

Now this looks like it could be a great money spinner for the country; just need to get the right advertising campaign going to attract the right customers and clientele.
Here’s a book for the Tourism Minister, Charles ‘Max’ Fernández to help get it right:
‘Managing Successful Projects’ with PRINCE2

The question is, WHO OWNS REDONDA?
Several years ago, I posed this question on C. Edwards Facebook page during his Independence Celebration post.
One Dave Ray, presumably, the one and same who blogs here, and also assume the name Dr. Dave Ray, alleged, that REDONDA is owned by a Philanthropist from California. If this allegation is true, someone would’ve possibly committed TREASON against the Nation, in my opinion, since, such sale should be through a REFERENDUM.
REDONDA, MUST be added to all official State Documents, and The National Anthem.
The Nation is a TRI-ISLAND STATE, in terms, of its Nautical Miles and Airspace.
There could be thousands of tons, of Natural gas below the ocean floor which could serve the Nation well, in the future.
