EMS: Ambulance Arrival Does Not Guarantee Immediate Hospital Treatment

0

Residents are being reminded that arriving at hospital by ambulance does not guarantee immediate medical attention.

Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Public Relations Officer Morvin Fiedtko said patients are assessed and treated based on the severity of their condition, not how they arrive.

While EMS transport may indicate urgency, hospital staff follow standard triage protocols to determine treatment priority.

Fiedtko said some people misuse ambulance services under the mistaken belief that arriving by EMS allows them to bypass triage procedures.

He emphasized that ambulances are intended for genuine emergencies and urged the public to use the service responsibly so resources remain available for life-threatening cases.
