The Antigua and Barbuda Electoral Commission has released a list of guidelines for voters ahead of the St. Philip North by-election scheduled for March 16, 2026.
In a public advisory, the Commission reminded residents that polling will run from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., and encouraged electors to be prepared and follow instructions from polling officials to ensure the process runs smoothly.
Voters are advised to bring their voter identification cards, listen carefully to directions from the presiding officer, and pay close attention to the party symbols on the ballot before marking their choice.
The Commission also reminded voters that they must select only one candidate and should ask polling officials for clarification if they are unsure about any part of the voting process.
Several restrictions will also be in place at polling stations.
According to the advisory, mobile phones and smartwatches will be collected upon entry and will not be allowed inside the voting area. Electors are also expected to behave respectfully and avoid any disruptive conduct.
The Commission further cautioned that voters must not mark the ballot for more than one candidate, and should avoid wearing party colours when attending polling stations.
Additionally, no election paraphernalia will be permitted within 100 yards of any polling station, in keeping with electoral regulations designed to maintain order and neutrality around voting locations.
Residents of the St. Philip North constituency will go to the polls Monday to choose their parliamentary representative in the by-election.

We willikies people going look about our self by voting out and kick our labor party and randy from willikies so robin wickedness can stop and get back our lands.
Vote! Vote! ALEX BROWN.
RANDY BALTIMORE FOR SURE 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🥳🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩
You Willikies People need to understand what took place in St. Mary’s South, leading up to, during and after their by-election a few years ago. Are there any similarities? The Antigua Labour Party has a single play-book. You have been promised the impossible and been enticed with food and liquor. After the results tomorrow, you will be forgotten for another 50 years. Safeguard the rest of your lands for your growing population. Do the right thing and boot these terrorists out of your community.
RALLYING CALL #21
Has there ever been a more important by-election than this one?
50 years of virtual neglect for the constituents of St Phillip’s (and the country), but there must come a time for change, and there’s no better time to send a message not only to Randy Baltimore to oust him, but also to let the ABLP that change is coming.
SPN constituents, be BOLD, be BRAVE, but most of all be STRONG…
Final rallying call soon come 👍🏾
Antigua people do not care about accountability. Our people take handouts every election and vote for the politicians who they will not do anything until the next cycle. So the politicians just before an election, hang out with them on the block , sponsor breakfast, lunch and drinks. And Pay their bills etc . Then they go out and vote on the premises that they owe this person their vote. What do you expect to happen after the voting.
It happened in St.Mary’s , it happened recently in St.Peters where all these projects halted the day of election and not a nail pounded afterwards. It will happen again today and tomorrow.
The funny thing is that people from all walks of life , all levels of education and profession in Antigua encourage, participate and accept this nonsense. The younger generation of educated professionals in Antigua are equally involved in taking these handouts for vote. This culture is so embedded that I don’t see a silver lining.
Today I predict that Randy Baltimore will win overwhelmingly. Not because that he is the better candidate. He and the labor party have used the beggy beggy culture. Tomorrow the newly elected parliamentarian will start the process of self- enrichment using government resources, to regain what he has spent and to become another wealthy corrupt Caribbean politician.
This can only come about if we get a leader who is conscious of a sustainable future. Like the young and already great African leader.
Oh, for f—k sake!
You are giving out the rules of the bi-election on the eve of the election?
Rather than wearing your bowtie and sporting yourself around the world as the great election guru, don’t you think you should see that your yard is fixed and prepared in advance?
Or does staying away from the problem help to reduce the sight of your biasness for the red element?
@ Frankly Speaking, I do hope you are wrong about your prediction of the result in the St Phillip’s North by-election. But you are absolutely correct when you talk of the “beggy beggy culture” that is so ingrained in so many of us; and the main contributor to the ABLP holding onto power. Rather disturbing to say the least!
Oh for a progressive African leader like Ibrahim Traore, Antigua 🇦🇬 and Antiguans would become prosperous in no time at all.
Let’s keep hope ALUVE … enjoy your day👍🏾
