It’s not always the “foreigners” that are committing crimes. It’s local born too. Unless you are now saying that if you’re a local born Antiguan that it’s ok to commit a crime?

Regardless of where you come from crime is wrong and attacking an elderly person is just low low low.

In a country where Criminals make and break the rules law and order will break down and in as much as the police are doing their best with the little resources they have they are still very much handicapped, it’s a sad situation

My son would always say ” he hate to see the elders living alone.” One should be able to stay in their homes elders or not without interference from those good for nothing curse hulugans. How did we get to this? An ” EIGHTY YEARS ” old !!!!! Where is the care , respect and love for the elders. Be it your grandmother or grandfather it’s our duty to look out for them. You’re soo curse you’ll better turn from your wicked ways ! There is a God and he’s watching each and everyone of us .do good and good will follow you , do bad you get the opposite of good. Looks like when they are doing wickness they went in a trance because I don’t understand how a person in their right mind could do a thing like that , then again the devil sees us a puppet and he’s the one pulling the strings, if we would let him.
Young people be wise ! You don’t want the tears of an elderly person !!!!
After saying all this, mam I pray this doesn’t cause any after effects 🙏

I am honestly amazed at the level of ignorance you’ve displayed in your explanation of why this innocent senior citizen was attacked. Your comments sound less like an attempt at reason and more like an excuse to showcase prejudice and vent your dislike for foreigners living in or even visiting Antigua.

Criminality is not inherited through DNA. It is the product of one’s environment, upbringing, and the morals—or lack thereof—instilled by parents and community. From the way you speak, it seems you were raised to hate regardless of circumstance. That kind of hatred, if left unchecked, is easily passed down to children, creating a cycle of more people growing up to spread the same ignorance and hostility.

I doubt anything I say will convince you to change your mind about foreigners or the kinds of policies and laws you believe should be enacted to restrict them. But I sincerely hope that most Antiguans do not share your views. Following your way of thinking would only weaken and ultimately damage this beautiful country.
