2. Let the free market reign. You can’t have duty on imported eggs if your to continue to keep the prices in reality. Now we have. Created more red tape with a paltry board and in effect create an egg cartel. Government needs to let the economy run and stop the extra hassles , red tape , permits etc.

4. And what’s up with those tiny eggs being sold for the same price as regular ones? Y’all must be joking. Is the heat responsible for these “preemie” egg sizes? I went into Chase, opened a carton, and was greeted by eggs that looked like they needed more time in the hen! And on top of that, you’re raising egg prices? Cheups!

5. What’s interesting is that everyone is alarmed over the raised price of eggs. However, MANY commodities in the supermarkets have raised tremendously over the last 4 years, and nothing was done about that. Don’t even talk about rent cost. So why incriminate the egg farmers only when the supermarkets have been killing us for much longer? I have zero affiliation to the egg farms, but this feels as though it’s a deliberate effort to zoom into them while turning a blind eye on others. In fact, even government itself is killing us with those ridiculous charges that customs hits us with when we import things. If we use to make these products, then they have a point, but we don’t manufacture anything here, so importation is a must, yet, you literally get charged the same cost, sometimes even more, of what the item cost. Government, if you really do care, drop those custom charges to less, and regulate rent prices and all items in the supermarkets and stores…. because while everyone is hitting us hard (including government), salaries aren’t increasing.

6. Politician always look for answer with more bureaucracy. And that will cost more money in the end. Why not let the farmers bring their audited financial statement and demonstrate to you that their cost justify the requested increase. You would then be able to see which line item you are willing to subsidize and to what amount. And I’ll bet you they have no audited financial statement to back up their claim. Brings me back to IRD. What the hell are these people doing not going after our taxes. Businesses that receive concessions should especially be audited by the IRD. because they should not be double dipping.
   My view on business is, if it is not feasible to do why support it with my tax dollars. I would like to get support too.

   Totally agree that’s what you call a decision of hypocrisy.Does grabston or a family member have a egg farm or something that he tend to act on this matter In a haste.

   I go to the supermarket and prices are high alot of supermarkets are exploiting the customers , we hear or see nothing is done. Caring is not just considering one of the challenges we encounter but, everything on a whole.
   Look how government exploit us on gasoline prices without consideration but want to ease the squeeze on eggs all of a sudden but they are caring.

   Electricity bill went up. The biggest deception of all comes from a hypocrite that pretend to care. Maybe them have selective caring abilities. Let’s care about this but let’s not care about that!
