The Eastern Caribbean Amalgamated Bank (ECAB) is proud to  support the dreams of young golfers in Antigua and Barbuda by covering the participation costs for  thirteen children from the Striving for Excellence Golf Academy as they compete in the Junior  Caribbean Championship in Barbados.

During a meeting at the Cedar Valley Golf Course on Monday, March 10, ECAB representatives met  with the young athletes and their coach, Skey Anthony, who expressed deep appreciation for the  bank’s sponsorship. “We truly appreciate this, and we will do our best in the competition,” Coach  Anthony said, reinforcing the team’s commitment to excellence.

As a committed advocate for youth development, ECAB continues to support programs that  empower young people across various disciplines. Jessica Russell, ECAB’s Marketing &  Communications Officer, encouraged the golfers, stating, “We wish you the best in this upcoming  tournament. We are cheering you on. Make us proud.”

The young golfers also showcased their impressive skills to the ECAB Marketing Team. Marlon  George, who works with the group, shared his optimism about the competition, noting that he  anticipates some of the team members will claim top prizes in the upcoming regional competition.

The Junior Caribbean Championship takes place from April 6th to 11th, 2025, bringing together the  region’s most promising young golfers for a highly anticipated tournament. ECAB is honored to play  a role in fostering the next generation of golfing champions and wishes the team great success in  Barbados.

  1. This is great. I’m very pleased to see my bank is supporting the sport I so love. And I’m happier when I see these youngster taking up the sport. Couldn’t dream of this in my times on the course. Thank God our sport is in good hands. Who knows in the future we may have a PGA golfer from Antigua.
