The ECAB Loan Relief Plan will permit;
- A moratorium of up to six
months on personal loan facilities. - Vehicle, land, mortgage or
student loans are eligible to be registered into the ECAB Loan Relief Plan. - The deferral of loan payments, waivers of
late fees and other charges under the Relief Plan. - Customers to indicate if they wish to opt-in or opt-out of the programme by emailing a completed OPT-IN/OPT- OUT form to [email protected], or by calling us at any of the listed numbers no later than April 15, 2020. We also understand that our Small Business and Commercial loan customers’ situations are unique. As such, we are asking Small Business and Commercial loan customers to contact the Small Business and Commercial Loan Officers so we may:
- Open a dialogue to understand your needs.
- Personalize a solution that best fit your individual business needs.
- Provide guidance on planning for the pandemic recovery period.
We know that some persons are already feeling the effects by way of loss of income, and we wish to help ease your burden soonest. Therefore, the programme will be implemented from April 1, 2020. Please note that should you choose to take advantage of the moratorium, interest will continue to accrue and we will arrange with you for this accrued interest and deferred principal to be incorporated into your loan prior to maturity.

This is good but what about credit card relief? What about removing charges for ATM transactions? What about removing penalties for breaking term deposits? There are so many more things that can be done.
