NHC – Eastern Tropical Atlantic (AL94): A broad area of low pressure, situated several hundred miles south-southwest of the Cabo Verde Islands, continues to generate disorganized showers and thunderstorms.

Gradual development is anticipated over the next couple of days, with environmental conditions becoming increasingly favorable by the weekend’s end.

The disturbance is forecasted to track westward across the central tropical Atlantic.

Substantial development is expected thereafter, with a likely tropical depression formation early to mid-next week as it progresses steadily westward across the central and western tropical Atlantic.
