The seismic research unit of the University of the West Indies reported today that an earthquake occurred off Antigua this morning.
It was recorded at 03:31 am while most residents were still asleep.
The magnitude was 4.2 on the rector scale at Latitude: 16.79N and Longitude: 61.09W with a depth: 10 km.
It was also felt 78 km NE of Point-à-Pitre, Guadeloupe, 91 km SE of Saint John’s, Antigua and Barbuda and 168 km NNE of Roseau, Dominica.
