Nurses at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre received an early dose of Christmas cheer after businessman Mickey Josiah surprised them with hot lunches this week.
Josiah, proprietor of Mickey’s fruit stall, delivered 15 meals to nurses in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit along with caretakers in the Children’s Division.
The gesture, he said, was his way of showing appreciation for their dedication and hard work.
He also told staff they can expect another special treat in December as part of his continued support for healthcare workers.
