Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party candidate for St. Mary’s South Dwayne George says he spent part of the day serving elderly residents, shut-ins and young people in the constituency during what he described as a “Lunch of Culture.”
In a social media post, George said the event featured a range of traditional foods, including fungi, coconut dumplings, white dumplings, ducana, chop-up, pawpaw, plantain, saltfish, linkfish and mackerel.
George said the outreach was intended to do more than provide a meal, describing it as a celebration of culture and community. He said the effort reflected a commitment to service, compassion and connection within the constituency.
He added that the event formed part of his ongoing work in St. Mary’s South and his pledge to serve residents through direct community engagement.

Why such heavy meals for shut-ins and elderly? Thats a heart attack waiting to happen. May be cultural, but very unhealthy
Ditto! Are we so insensitive in the name of politics? Come on! We can do better
