A young driver narrowly avoided a major catastrophe today when his Toyota Vitz flipped mid-air in a spectacular somersault before coming to rest upside down.
The unusual accident occurred near the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium as the car was traveling south at high speed.
Remarkably, the driver walked away from the wreck unharmed, though visibly shaken by the incident.

They need to drive carefully
BET HE NEVER SPEEDS AGAIN.THANK GOD FOR SPARED LIFE!!!
Would he be charged for speeding
He have to charge for speeding putting order people life at risk and there is a speed limit
He have to get charge he knows the speed limit and putting people life at risk
This is why y’all want good roads? Arh yuh nuh see nutten yet, wait until Government complete the other road projects. Antiguans should be worried about securing their Beaches from Colonialists. Bad roads saves Lives!
Punk
He should be charge for speeding and suspend his license for 6 months.
Unless the police dept start to Adhere to the traffic laws forcefully it’s gonna happen over and over again
Got to be some severe punishment to stop this cycle
Speeding ticket, insurance rate gone up, drivers license suspended…..
Give them the works.
At the rate of all these Vitz accidents, we will be rid of them in no time.
The driving test is obviously not stringent enough in Antigua and a major revamp is long overdue. Car crashes now seem to be a daily occurrence here.
Just putting your foot down in automatic vehicles creates lazy driving patterns, whereas learning to drive using gears/stick shifts concentrates the mind a lot more. Many European countries already do this.
My current licence allows me to drive both types.
Furthermore, you are not allowed to drive gears/stick shift vehicles if you’ve only obtained an automatic car licence, because automatic licences virtually merely means starting, moving forward and backwards – just too simplistic.
MAJOR CHANGES ARE NEEDED HERE …
Saw it all unfolded as I left the cricket match yesterday.
Now deal with him accordingly you pigs ! Do your dyam job !
I won’t ever forget how they these pigs at Saint John’s Police Station had me detained for the entire day and was treated like a high profile criminal, escorted by two officers and when one of my sureties came the police office was like a human hog, he was like “where you born ? you nah from ya ! even though the person has a valid Antigua and Barbuda Passport.”
Imagine these pigs wanted to sink me, intimidate me for a simple careless driving charge when initially they charged me for Dangerous driving. Nobody dead, nobody hurt, but dangerous driving and how I will be locked up.
But guess what, a few strings were pulled and that same pig who was like you nah from ya suddenly became a lamb and was so nice and sweet and courteous.
This goes to show how corrupt and bias and prejudice these pigs are towards foreigners.
For all you please, the youths can smoke the weed, drink the rum and fly to hell, so dem set up the system and so it will run.
Many more will have to suffer, many more will have to die, who know, know.
All these car “incidents” are NOT funny anymore!
It is quite strange to me that elderly drivers get a lot of hassle on the road when they do the right thing most of the time, but young drivers leave home every day either to kill themselves or someone else
Where tf was he going so to flip that little match box so ?
This island is 108 square miles, he deserves to drive a jack ass cart for the rest of his life.
Boom I totally disagree with you allowing a jackass to drive a cart pulled by another jackass would be mire catastrophic
This person driver’s license should be taking away forever he has no respect for other people’s life therefore should not have access to drive.hope he’s charged heavy for this missed attempt.
