Driver Escapes Serious Injury After Honda Fit Crashes on Jonas Road
A young male driver is lucky to be alive after the Honda Fit he was driving crashed along Jonas Road late Saturday morning.
According to reports, the accident occurred around 11 a.m. as the motorist was traveling from north to south on the busy roadway. The driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle, which veered off the road, smashed through a wire fence, and overturned in the yard of a mechanic shop.
The driver, who was alone in the vehicle, managed to climb out of the wreckage without serious injuries. Eyewitnesses described the crash as “severe,” noting that the car was extensively damaged.
Police have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident. Preliminary reports suggest that excessive speed or a sudden loss of control may have contributed, though authorities have not confirmed any specific details.
The visibly shaken driver thanked God for sparing his life as investigators continued their work at the scene.
Law enforcement officials are once again urging motorists to exercise caution, particularly on high-traffic routes such as Jonas Road, where a single moment of distraction can lead to disaster.

Fortunate outcome. Hoping the experience encourages more careful driving, especially among young motorists.
Happy he is safe. I guess
So glad the driver is okay , accidents like this can be so serious.
Count your blessings
The car wasn’t feeling well so it took itself to the mechanic…Glad the youth man safe and hope he drives more carefully in the future…Antigua has horrible road networks especially roads like Jonas Road which sinks and climbs randomly..Not saying the toad itself is the cause of this particular incident but It’s the 21st century and Antigua’s government can’t realize up to now that roads need to be built with foundation if u want them to last…..SMH…..
