Just a day after Constable Robert Dyer’s funeral, the woman believed to be responsible for the collision that claimed the officer’s life was charged with dangerous driving.
On Wednesday, the police formally charged Dayneri Ferrer Vincent-Urlwin, who was subsequently granted bail and is set to appear in court on Thursday.
Constable Dyer, aged 39, lost his life on September 4 in a traffic accident on Sir Sydney Walling Highway.
He had dedicated a decade of service to the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda, initially joining in April 2013.
His career included stints in the Traffic Department and as a motorcycle escort to the Governor General.
At his well-attended funeral, he was fondly remembered for his love of music, dance, and his unwavering willingness to assist those in need.
