Dr. Onika Campbell, Jamaica’s Honorary Consul to Antigua and Barbuda, is stepping down after four-and-a-half years, having been initially appointed for a three-year term in 2019.

She expressed gratitude to Jamaica, especially the diaspora in Antigua and Barbuda, for the opportunity to serve.

Dr. Campbell acknowledged the support of various government departments and the business community.

She is transitioning to a new role with the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland.

Her pending departure has elicited appreciation from the local Jamaican community, who thanked her for her assistance and wished her success.

  1. Really? There is not one Jamaican who is sad to see her go. Hers was a terrible appointment. And she is going before the pending investigation initiated by Justice Minister Steadroy Benjamin. I wish the media would do their home work before publishing everything they are fed.
