Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre (SLBMC) has congratulated one of its senior clinicians, Dr Olsheath Bowen, on completing a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Management.
Dr Bowen, an Emergency Medicine Consultant at the hospital, graduated from the Paul and Virginia Engler College of Business at West Texas A&M University in the United States.
Hospital officials said the qualification strengthens Dr Bowen’s ability to contribute to healthcare leadership by combining frontline medical expertise with advanced business and management training.
In a statement, SLBMC described the achievement as “truly an amazing accomplishment”, noting that the MBA provides “an excellent foundation for healthcare leadership”.
“This accomplishment reflects Dr Bowen’s commitment to professional growth and to the continued improvement of healthcare delivery,” the statement said. “You make us proud.”
Dr Bowen’s graduation comes as SLBMC continues to highlight staff development as a key part of strengthening patient care and health system management across Antigua and Barbuda.
