
An 18-year-old Dominican student was shot and killed on Saturday night in the College Housing area of St Kitts and Nevis.
Police identified the victim as Sean Kadim John, a national of Dominica and student at Washington Archibald High School. In a statement issued on Sunday morning, authorities confirmed the fatal shooting and said a full investigation has been launched.
John, whose family is from Gutter Village in Roseau, was reportedly found by his mother lying in a pool of blood. He is believed to have sustained a single gunshot wound to the head.
“The Police are investigating a shooting homicide that occurred last night in College Housing involving an 18-year-old student of Washington Archibald High School. The investigation is active and ongoing. Further details will be provided in an official release,” police said.

The circumstances surrounding the killing remain unclear, and no suspects have been publicly identified.
