Following a brief period of detention by the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda, a Dominican national, Dowlin Nefasson Alexander, will be returning to his home country this afternoon.

Alexander, who was held on the basis of an Interpol Notice issued by French authorities regarding alleged illicit activities, has chosen to depart Antigua voluntarily.

If he had not done so, he would have faced deportation.

The Dominican authorities will now take charge of the situation and determine the appropriate course of action.

  1. Politics at work here. Both the Antiguan police and the Dominican authorities would have much to answer to if all this was in fact initiated by Interpol. Dominica and Antigua again….reminds me of the Mehul Choksi saga.

  2. It’s funny how they are quick to deport a Caribbean national, but let in a 1000 illegal African immigrants with no papers whatsoever.
Where are those illegal immigrants now, oh I forgot, they just vanished and turned up in other islands causing further immigration mayhem!
An inquiry needs to be done about this Antigua Airways fiasco.
They say where water walk once, it will walk again. This Government will be involved in these messy deals again, because that’s who they are.

    “You are what you are”

  3. And what about all the Europeans doing the same just lawding about the Caribbean

All we are is service provider eating crumbs at the table whilst everyone else eats cake slices
