Dr. Kenneth Darroux, former government minister and Special Envoy in the Office of the Prime Minister, has been granted $30,000.00 bail following two charges related to the importation of firearm accessories without a valid license.

He appeared before the Roseau Magistrate Court and was granted bail by Magistrate Michael Laudat. Represented by attorneys Lennox Lawrence and Jodi Luke, Dr. Darroux is set to return to court on January 24, 2024.

The charges stem from his 18-year political career, which ended in the 2022 general election, leading to his appointment as a Special Envoy with specific responsibilities for “Electoral Modernization.”
