Dominica Opposition Leader Arrested Over Protest
The political leader of Dominica’s United Workers Party (UWP), Dr Thomson Fontaine, has been arrested in connection with an alleged unlawful assembly during a March 19 protest in the capital, Roseau.
Local reports say he was taken to court on Thursday where charges are to be read, and he is expected to be granted bail.
UWP Vice President and attorney Ronald Charles was arrested a day earlier on similar charges. He appeared before Magistrate Hansel Valerie on Wednesday and was granted bail of $25,000 without conditions.
Charles, along with fellow attorney Joshua Francis, has been representing several protesters detained following the demonstration. Police say 24 people have been arrested to date.
The case is scheduled to return to court on 21 August. Charles is being represented by attorney Geoffrey Letang.

You are correct and it especially applies to Barbuda.
Strongman Gaston Browne is clearing farm lands on Barbuda to build housing without Barbudans prior knowledge and approval. The need does not exist, so who is the housing for?
Only information provided is that these housing is to be built by Chinese. No detail provided other than it’s 300. Is it 300 units of attached housing? Is it 300 units of attached single family housing ? Is it 300 homes. WHAT and for WHO?
When Barbudans went to the site to protest, they were met by a Riot Squad armed with high powered rifles; and additional police hiding in the bushes.
That’s worse than what’s happening in Dominica.
Unlike in Dominicans where protectors can have their day in court having crossed the barricades, among other charges
Barbudans would have their day with their maker
This is among the many problems with the media. While Dominica is widely covered in the local and regional press.

He made a lot of money in the sale of the Alfa Nero along with other party affiliated attorneys.
The difference is, the other attorneys don’t jump on the media as propagandist for Gaston Browne.
He is more than legal council. He is a propagandist and Lawfare practitioner.
He is also in the habit of individuating in his statement that one can be sued
even when they say it’s alleged.
That statement is so preposterous that it’s either he knows the judges are currupt and he is confident in the lack integrity in the judicial system; or he is postering for the purpose of intimidation.
That’s a terrible indictment of the judicial system in the Eastern Caribbean.
