Two people lost their lives on Sunday morning when their vehicle plunged over a cliff along the Thibaud to Vieille Case public road.
The victims have been identified as Davis Mascellin and his girlfriend, Nadia Paul, both of Dos Dane, Penville. The accident occurred around 10:00 a.m. on August 17, 2025.
Mascellin was driving a rented Toyota Rush, registration TQ157, with Paul and another passenger from Clifton on board when the vehicle veered off the road and fell into a precipice.
Mascellin and Paul sustained fatal injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene. The third occupant was rescued and taken to hospital for treatment.
Police from the Vieille Case District, together with the Criminal Investigations Department (CID), are continuing inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

This is really sad indeed. There’s a saying if u can drive in Dominica you can drive anywhere in the world and I believe that to be true because of the state of these roads.
With so many winding roads and precipice you have to be a good driver to maneuver.
