The Rotary Club of Antigua (RCA) is pleased to announce that one of its corporate partners, Digicel Antigua, has stepped forward to sponsor one of the Club’s signature programmes, for the next six months.
The telecommunications provider’s Senior Marketing Executive, Shari Dickenson-Matthew recently presented a cheque in the amount of $EC 15,000 to the Club’s President, Kevin Silston. The amount will finance the Meals on Wheels initiative from January 2021 to June 2021. The programme provides packages of dry goods to 108 vulnerable households every month. This is certainly not the first time that the company has supported the Club in its endeavours.
“Digicel is excited to support this amazing project for another year. It is projects like this that really touches people in a direct way. We are happy to partner with the Rotary Club of Antigua on this initiative and encourage them to keep doing the work that they have been doing in serving the community. Their efforts are truly felt especially in this pandemic”, expressed Dickenson.
President Silston in return expressed profound gratitude to the company for their support.
“We do not take it lightly that in times like this, it may be challenging to think about supporting projects. We are very grateful to Digicel for this cash injection in the Meals on Wheels Programme, six months which will go a long way in providing items to our recipients. Digicel is a corporate partner who is always willing to step forward and assist the work of Rotary and we are really, really happy and thankful for this”, said Silston.
