
Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister Charles Fernandez says Antigua and Barbuda remains open to international travelers despite recent global visa policy changes affecting travel flows, expressing particular confidence in the strength of the United States market.
In a video message outlining the government’s tourism strategy for 2026, Fernandez said shifting visa regimes in some parts of the world have not altered the country’s commitment to openness, accessibility and connectivity .
“Despite the recently announced visa mandate affecting global travel, Antigua and Barbuda remains open for business and open to the world,” Fernandez said .
He added that the country continues to welcome visitors from all source markets, while maintaining strong confidence in its relationship with the United States, which he described as one of Antigua and Barbuda’s most important and resilient tourism markets .
Fernandez said connectivity, accessibility and openness remain central pillars of national tourism policy, even as governments worldwide adjust entry requirements in response to geopolitical and security considerations.
