The Department of Culture, in conjunction with Blue Waters Resort and 84 Summer Weekend, with kind

support from Julees, Khan Cordice Music, and Showcase, is pleased to announce a special Musical

Masterclass and Inspiration Session with the renowned UK collective Steam Down. The event will take

place on Wednesday, 17th September 2025 at 3:30 pm at Julees, Cross & Tanner Street.

This exciting session invites upper school students, aspiring musicians, and Music creatives across

Antigua and Barbuda to participate in an afternoon of inspiration, mentorship, and exchange. For

advanced musicians, the masterclass will also feature a dynamic jam session—participants are

encouraged to bring their instruments and engage directly with the internationally celebrated group.

Drinks and eats will be on sale by Julees, Your favorite sweet Spot.

Speaking on the importance of this initiative, Khan Cordice, Director of Culture, noted:

“Workshops like these are essential to inspire, reinvigorate, and educate our young people. They provide

a bridge between international artistry and local creativity, encouraging our musicians to dream bigger,

refine their craft, and see the arts as a viable pathway for personal and professional growth.”

The Department of Culture also expressed deep gratitude to the management of 84 Studio and the team

at Steam Down for their generous support and commitment to the development of the Arts in Antigua and

Barbuda. Their contribution highlights the power of collaboration in nurturing talent and creating

sustainable opportunities for future generations.
