KTLA5-Delta Air Lines said it began canceling flights early Saturday morning as the FAA imposed airspace closures affecting parts of the Caribbean following the U.S. strike operation in Venezuela.

The airline has issued a travel waiver for customers traveling to or from 13 affected Caribbean airports between Jan. 3 and Jan. 6, allowing eligible passengers to make changes to their itineraries without additional fees.
According to Delta, impacted airports currently include ANU, AUA, BGI, BON, CUR, GND, SJU, SKB, STT, STX, SVD, SXM and UVF.
In addition, according to The Associated Press, the FAA also imposed a temporary airspace restriction affecting Puerto Rico, including Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in San Juan, citing security concerns tied to U.S. military activity in Venezuela.

AP reported that airport officials said most commercial flights operated by U.S. airlines have been suspended or canceled under the restriction. Foreign airlines and military aircraft are not affected, and passengers were urged to check directly with their airline before traveling to the airport.
Delta customers with bookings during the affected period will receive notifications directly from the airline with instructions on how to modify existing reservations. Delta said travelers should continue to monitor the status of their flights through the Fly Delta app or on Delta.com, where itinerary changes can also be made.
“As cancellations are processed, customers will receive notifications via the Fly Delta app and the contact information listed in their reservation,” the airline said.
Delta added that its teams are continuing to monitor the evolving situation in the region, emphasizing that the safety and security of customers and employees remains its top priority.
The FAA announced earlier Saturday that it had imposed temporary airspace restrictions tied to the ongoing security situation related to U.S. military activity in Venezuela, prompting widespread flight disruptions across the Caribbean.

Just look at what the IMPERIALIST Trump is now causing across the Caribbean nations with his “might is right” policies and right-wing agenda.
Well, the Americans can’t say they weren’t warned after his first term in office, and the subsequent insurrection that followed and then the release/pardon of the perpetrators; and guess what?
THE WORLD STILL HAS 3 MORE YEARS OF TRUMP
Dear Lord, please intervene. Amen 🙏🏾
EVIL MUSTN’T PREVAIL …
My hands are clean and my mind is peaceful: I didn’t vote for trump.
