Delon Charlery, who admitted to killing Customs Officer Zorina Benjamin in 2021, is set to be sentenced on 17 October.
The St Lucian national previously changed his plea after audio evidence emerged capturing heated exchanges between him and Benjamin, followed by a gunshot.
Benjamin, a customs officer, was shot in the head at her home in Golden Grove on 22 November 2021.
Sentencing was adjourned earlier to allow a probation officer to complete a report following interviews with witnesses and Charlery.
The court will now consider this report before delivering the final sentence.

Adjournments can be frustrating, but they show the system is taking the case seriously. While the public awaits justice.
Another WEAK COWARD of a “man”
She was a mother, a public servant her life matters. Let the court stop dragging its feet and deliver justice
Another adjournment? This is getting ridiculous justice delayed is justice denied. We want closure for Zorina and her family
If the evidence is strong, then stop hiding behind procedural delays and bring down the full weight of the law.
He may just get one year like the officer who shot up the vehicle 11 times
Another damn delay. Just sentence the man already. Damn
Punk!!!
