Defendant Hakeem Jeffery Admits Firearm Charges, Alters Plea

1

In a turn of events, Hakeem Jeffery, who had initially pleaded not guilty to charges of aggravated robbery, robbery, possession of a firearm, and possession of ammunition related to a 2020 Parham supermarket robbery, changed his plea to admit to the firearm and ammunition offenses.

As a result, the prosecution decided not to pursue the robbery charges.

Jeffery now faces sentencing for the firearm and ammunition charges on October 18.

The case, which dates back three years, took an unexpected twist as the accused revised his stance on the charges.
