Police are asking for the public’s help as investigations continue into the discovery of a partially decomposed man found inside a vehicle at the old Ottos School compound, just off All Saints Road.
Officers were alerted around midday on Monday, 2 February, after a report was made to the 911 emergency hotline. Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Department, the Serious Crimes Unit and the Forensic Evidence Recovery Unit responded and sealed off the area, which is used as a panyard.
Assistant Superintendent of Police Frankie Thomas confirmed the discovery, saying the focus is now on identifying the deceased. He urged anyone with a missing relative to come forward.
A district medical doctor pronounced the man dead at the scene. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Criminal Investigations Department or any police station.

Did this guy arrived here illegally, and was just out and about? How could you recover a close to be decomposed body, and not one member of his family, girlfriend, or just friends overall, noticed he was missing? It’s like the more our police come to the media and announce these arrest, making it looks like they are putting a Crack in crime, behind all this positivity, some of the more vicious crimes are being committed without arrest.
This is extremely disturbing. Someone’s son, brother, or friend was left in a vehicle and discovered like this. I can’t imagine the pain the family will feel when they hear this news.
The emotional weight of this is heavy. To be found in a decomposed state suggests time passed, and that alone raises so many questions. We cannot become numb to stories like this. This was a human being who deserved dignity, answers, and peace.
This is the kind of news that stays with you long after you read it. Someone didn’t make it home. Someone is about to receive the worst news imaginable. I truly hope anyone with information does the right thing.
Finding a decomposed body in a place people pass every day is alarming. It makes you wonder what really happened and how many people might have seen something and stayed silent.
This sound like sickness to me stop raising alarms the man must have gone there by himself . We all know alot of people been neglected daily and look the other way and is only when they die like this we become alarm. Give me a break.
How a doctor is gonna pronounce a decomposed body what he or she is gonna write the person died when they saw them at that time, the person may be could have died days or weeks prior to finding.
I agree
No family missing a loved one fitting the description???
Nothing in Antigua is alarming right now. I put my ears to the ground everything is a possibility in Antigua. Not saying that I am happy for the things that are happening not condoling them. But the realities are what they are no need for us to behave all Santimonal and surprise when we have eyes to see and ears to hear, what has been happening. A lot of times person may come to us and ask for food or money to buy food, we refuse to give saying they need to go and look work, you may be driving and somebody ask for a ride and you refuse to give them a ride because they did not help you buy your vehicle that’s same that same person maybe going to something and just want a ride to, go somewhere to sit and cool for a while and frustration hit them and the rest is history, but here we are playing all holy. We are all guilty of what is happening in this country. We neglect people in so many different ways that sometimes we contribute to their downfall and don’t even realize it. But only when it hit home, we are going to realize the severity of what another person had gone through when we were in a position to help in small tiny ways but we refuse may God help us all.
How very sad!
Hope the police do a thorough investigation and not let this go cold
This is why you just don’t let a 1000 people in your place without thoroughly vetting them, then left those same people to just roam Antigua. God knows how many more are out there. Antigua has become a dark place a tell yah.
This is the result’s and harsh reality of such actions.
If y’all think immigration is not a very important mandate, then just look at this situation before y’all start bellowing.
Immigration has no color, it’s about the safety for everyone, and this certainly wasn’t safe for this person or those around him who doesn’t even know who he is.
Just sad indeed.
