The Labour Department says March 22nd, the day following the 2018 general election will be a public holiday in Antigua and Barbuda.
The announcement was made by way of a press release on Monday and in accordance with the Public Holidays Acts of 2014.
The acting Labour Commissioner is also reminding who work on a public holiday “are entitled to be paid an hourly rate not less than 150% of their basic rate pay per hour worked in addition to the normal day’s pay for that day.”
