CXC Reports 50% Increase in Exam Irregularities, Including Cheating and Impersonation

The Caribbean Examination Council (CXC) has reported a 50% rise in exam infractions during the May-June 2024 sessions.

The 54 recorded incidents—up from 36 in 2023—involved unauthorized cell phones, cheating, and impersonation, with 49 cases occurring during CSEC exams.

Nicole Manning, CXC’s Director of Operations, highlighted a notable case where a candidate was caught impersonating another student. The individual was disqualified and banned for two years.

  1. TSo we’re producing criminals and dunceheads? We need to find out the right of that. Maybe the judiciary is only partly responsible. This is an Almighty mess.
