Customs officer granted bail in major drug case

Customs Officer Al Marlon Antonio was granted bail in the sum of $400,000 in the High Court today.
Forty thousand of that sum has to be in cash.
As part of bail conditions he must report to a police station three time a week and not interfere with witnesses.
Antonio was charged with a number of offenses in relation to a 400 thousand dollar drug bust. Following his charge he was denied bail in the Magistrate’s Court and remanded at the St. John’s Police Station.
Police reported cannabis totaling 40 pounds was discovered in a barrel at the Port on July 9.
